Hari Prasad is another artist that works out of the fabulous Surya Studio in Kathmandu. I consider Hari Prasad to be my ‘urban artist’ as his style is very masculine.

Once while walking through town, I saw a signboard advertising Hari Art Studio, and walked in. To my surprise, it was MY Hari Prasad and there were some Danger Dog works in progress in the shop. I also met his son, who is a fine artist in his own right, who has followed in his dad’s footsteps. That may explain why there are some

Geometric backgrounds and darker colors are his hallmarks, though he has been known to use pink prodigiously in both trimming and as a backdrop.

He has a fine brushstroke and did a fine job on a portrait of Peter with his bird, Randy. Of course, he was just supposed to paint the Cockatoo, but how could I complain?
